The event was a family affair with Brunt children joining the team for the big event. With the aid of the bowling ramp Lilly and Dexter both achieved several spares during the evening.
Randi’s score consistently raised one frame after another.

Don added to the fun by taking a knee praying his ball wouldn’t end up in the gutter, again. He discovered the lower he got to the floor the higher his score.
Things were looking good for Devri in the 6th round when she achieved a strike. She ended the game with a spare in the 9th and 10th frames
Jodi was distraught with her score of 86, an all time low in the 7th round
Zach’s challenge to “Kick Jodi’s Trash” set a fire under her to begin the final scoring.
Devri was excited for the one of two spares she achieved during the game! “My high score is 47…” she admits “I’m shooting for 90.. Low score?… no worries… all the more reason to get sponsors” Her strategy: More sponsors require fewer points to raise the most money. “I know my weakness… I must focus on the dollar per point… not the number of points!”

The final score says it all! Jodi Wonacott won hands down with 192, Devri Ficklin 132. A private competition between the two encouraged by several sponsors also nets the winner of the two with an additional $100.00! All in all… if these scores are any representation of things to come, Jodi and Devri together will raise more than $1300.00 to support the incredible organizations of the Magic of Memories and Andrew Gomez Foundation!!!
Future Professionals and Team Members of the school are also practicing and recruiting sponsors for the Bowl-a-thon. The school goal is to raise $10,000. The individual that raises the most money during the event will receive special recognition and a “Top 10 Reasons to Graduate from a Paul Mitchell School” t-shirt. There will be fun for everyone with give-aways during the event for participants and attendees.
