High fives… and cheers all around as each team member scored. Frame after frame you could hear the cheers as the team mates yelled the score of the frame and the addition of the money that frame yielded for charity
“6 pins… that’s okay…its 12 more dollars for charity!!!”

NO FOOLIN' AROUND...

April 1, 2009 --- It was no April Fool for Jodi Wonacott and Devri Ficklin as they prepared for the big Bowl-a-thon funraising event at Paul Mitchell The School in Spokane. The duo came together to hone their skill, “We’re not fooling around...” said Jodi regarding the bowling tournament held at the home of Mary Burlingame. “Bowling is a passion, and I am ready to take them on…!” Jodi will be sporting her own bowling jersey spotlighting her love of the game.

Jodi's Incredible Form

Devri was excited for the one of two spares she achieved during the game! “My high score is 47…” she admits “I’m shooting for 90.. Low score?… no worries… all the more reason to get sponsors” Her strategy: More sponsors require fewer points to raise the most money. “I know my weakness… I must focus on the dollar per point… not the number of points!”

Devri celebrates a Spare

The final score says it all! Jodi Wonacott won hands down with 192, Devri Ficklin 132. A private competition between the two encouraged by several sponsors also nets the winner of the two with an additional $100.00! All in all… if these scores are any representation of things to come, Jodi and Devri together will raise more than $1300.00 to support the incredible organizations of the Magic of Memories and Andrew Gomez Foundation!!!
Final Score
Future Professionals and Team Members of the school are also practicing and recruiting sponsors for the Bowl-a-thon. The school goal is to raise $10,000. Karter Law
Karter is the first child of Landon and Jill. He could smile from day one... no honestly he was born smiling. Landon told me he was smiling from the hospital over the phone. I didn't believe him, until I saw it for myself at 4 days old. He is a happy child and very good natured!

My lucky day! Karter gets to come visit his Grandma Devri and Papa Tractor while his mom and dad attend the Temple. (We live 4 blocks from the Las Vegas Temple)
I had to try out the new camera I recieved as a Christmas present from Santa. This is my favorite pic of Karter. He is trying to open the pantry... of course! (see the sneaky smile?)

Here is Karter riding the horse his dad rode as a little boy... yes its that old! They did make toys to last in those days. And again... he is smiling!!!

Here is Karter and his Papa Tractor... they both seem to like green. Goes well with the eyes! They have a lot of fun playing together!

Karter is going to be a big brother in September!!!

Yeah... that will make 8 grandkids!!!

Sydney Cora Law

We have a new little granddaughter!

Sydney was born February 4, 2009. 4:19am. She has beautiful, thick dark hair and dark eyes! I mentioned to her dad Jason (0ur oldest son) he should name her after his sister, Tajia. He told me flat out... "Nope!" All of their children have light hair and light eyes. This little one looks more like her dad's little sister, Tajia... So... I thought Tajia would be a great name. They choose Sydney. Which is also an amazing name... fits her perfectly.
Tajia with blonde haired older brother Connor.
Older sister Hailee... is also blonde hair, blue eyed (she got her eyes from grandma Devri... ask her she will tell you!) and Daniel... the oldest brother... blonde hair and green eyes (got his eyes from his Grandpa Don!)
The family when Connor was born... wow how time files. Jason, Page. Three incredible kids... Daniel, Hailee and Connor in August 2006... and Sydney makes four!

Quick Trip to Utah

After a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at our home in Vegas, we jumped in the truck and drove to Utah for a quick vacation.
WRONG... Brady and Papa Tractor ran on up to their favorite haunt
(at least Papa Tractors favorite)
Cabela's!
First stop... the Shooting Range!

Well Papa Tractor had to show him how its done...
(Don said... really... Brady went first... uh huh?)
Then Brady finally had a turn...

and REALLY showed Papa Tractor... how its done!!!

It was Grandma Devri's turn next to

show him the fish...

Later that evening we were off to the MALL... what a mistake... Christmas shopping!!!

However... Brady had a great time!!!

And so did Parker

What a sport!
He loved cruising in the stroller.

The next day Papa Tractor and Brady were outside as a train drives by... the Locomotive Engineer blew the horn and waved vigorously at Brady, who was out of his head with excitement!!! "Look Papa Tractor... a train!"

The following day... Papa Tractor and Grandma Devri left for home, for some much needed rest and relaxation.
