Their Goal… $10,000.00 to benefit such charities as: Leeza’s Place, Larry King Cardiac Foundation, Food for Africa and the Andrew Gomez Foundation.
Kylie Wonacott steady and true continues to rack up the points one frame after on other

Chris took her time to properly aim the ball, releasing in great form.

High fives… and cheers all around as each team member scored. Frame after frame you could hear the cheers as the team mates yelled the score of the frame and the addition of the money that frame yielded for charity
“6 pins… that’s okay…its 12 more dollars for charity!!!”

Steven puts his own english on the ball as it spins towards the pins

The event was a family affair with Brunt children joining the team for the big event. With the aid of the bowling ramp Lilly and Dexter both achieved several spares during the evening.
Randi’s score consistently raised one frame after another.

George steadily hit one strike or spare frame after frame. George celebrates one of his many strikes.
Grants performance brought many smiles and cheers!

Don added to the fun by taking a knee praying his ball wouldn’t end up in the gutter, again. He discovered the lower he got to the floor the higher his score.
Things were looking good for Devri in the 6th round when she achieved a strike. She ended the game with a spare in the 9th and 10th frames
Jodi was distraught with her score of 86, an all time low in the 7th round
Zach’s challenge to “Kick Jodi’s Trash” set a fire under her to begin the final scoring.

Devri’s final score 96, an all-time personal high raised over $600.00…not good enough for the win between the two. Jodi’s lead of 111 raised over $650 for charity with an extra $100.00 pledged to the winner between the two. The final Score!

Kylie’s final score: 111 tied her mom Jodi. Yes, they are still friends.

NO FOOLIN' AROUND...

April 1, 2009 --- It was no April Fool for Jodi Wonacott and Devri Ficklin as they prepared for the big Bowl-a-thon funraising event at Paul Mitchell The School in Spokane. The duo came together to hone their skill, “We’re not fooling around...” said Jodi regarding the bowling tournament held at the home of Mary Burlingame. “Bowling is a passion, and I am ready to take them on…!” Jodi will be sporting her own bowling jersey spotlighting her love of the game.

Jodi's Incredible Form

Devri was excited for the one of two spares she achieved during the game! “My high score is 47…” she admits “I’m shooting for 90.. Low score?… no worries… all the more reason to get sponsors” Her strategy: More sponsors require fewer points to raise the most money. “I know my weakness… I must focus on the dollar per point… not the number of points!”

Devri celebrates a Spare

The final score says it all! Jodi Wonacott won hands down with 192, Devri Ficklin 132. A private competition between the two encouraged by several sponsors also nets the winner of the two with an additional $100.00! All in all… if these scores are any representation of things to come, Jodi and Devri together will raise more than $1300.00 to support the incredible organizations of the Magic of Memories and Andrew Gomez Foundation!!!
Final Score
Future Professionals and Team Members of the school are also practicing and recruiting sponsors for the Bowl-a-thon. The school goal is to raise $10,000. The individual that raises the most money during the event will receive special recognition and a “Top 10 Reasons to Graduate from a Paul Mitchell School” t-shirt. There will be fun for everyone with give-aways during the event for participants and attendees.

The official Bowl-a-thon event will be held April 6th at 7pm… stay tunes for further details!!!

Karter Law
Karter is the first child of Landon and Jill. He could smile from day one... no honestly he was born smiling. Landon told me he was smiling from the hospital over the phone. I didn't believe him, until I saw it for myself at 4 days old. He is a happy child and very good natured!

My lucky day! Karter gets to come visit his Grandma Devri and Papa Tractor while his mom and dad attend the Temple. (We live 4 blocks from the Las Vegas Temple)
I had to try out the new camera I recieved as a Christmas present from Santa. This is my favorite pic of Karter. He is trying to open the pantry... of course! (see the sneaky smile?)

Here is Karter riding the horse his dad rode as a little boy... yes its that old! They did make toys to last in those days. And again... he is smiling!!!

Here is Karter and his Papa Tractor... they both seem to like green. Goes well with the eyes! They have a lot of fun playing together!

Karter is going to be a big brother in September!!!

Yeah... that will make 8 grandkids!!!
